Dress Up Your Book Group

I always enjoy hearing about what book groups do besides read and discuss books. There are those groups that eat book-related treats, there are other groups that inbibe, there are groups that take field trips (one local group has visited England together). I read the following in the Los Altos (CA) Town Crier:
Occasionally, the group will host a meeting with a theme based on the time period or subject matter of the book. For example, when the group read "The Wednesday Sisters," set in 1970s Palo Alto, members dressed in ’70s attire and ate pigs in a blanket and ants on a log (celery, peanut butter and raisins).
Can you see your group dressing up? It might be fun to select books with a view to dressing up. For example, you could read Swamplandia! by Karen Rusell and everyone would dress as alligators!
